[16:18] <Nurses> Now please tell us this---will you be able to look in the direction of the lens, or do we need to use the special eyedrops to numb your eye muscles for a few minutes?

[16:20] * Nurses take a special, dark-looking contact lens, and bring it close and closer to D.Kakaku's eye, to see if he blinks or looks away.

[16:36] * Nurses bring some goggles over to D.Kakaku, which are tinted like the ones he wears, and also have little motors in them around the rims.

[16:37] *** The goggles are deep, and tremendously narrow D.Kakaku's peripheral vision.
[16:37] *** The room turns very very very dark, and the glasses function like a blindfold.
[16:37] * Nurses clip something to D.Kakaku's ears, which beeps softly, in conjunction with his heartbeat, and the room slowly starts to lighten up again.

[16:38] <Nurses> It's experimental, so I cannot specify, but your heartbeat and fear response dictates how much of the light is allowed through your contact lenses.

[16:39] <Nurses> This way, if you get a little spooked, they will darken up so you cannot see what's bothering you.

[16:43] <Nurses> Here you are. The same one as before, and it's perfectly calibrated to your body shape, so you will be nice and warm and snug.

[16:43] <Nurses> Do you want to climb into it on a table, or would you rather back into it standing, Mr. Kakaku?

[16:45] <Nurses> Naturally, this is not what you'll be testing. We just need to ensure you are perfectly still.

[16:51] <Nurses> The wall closes aroun D.Kakaku's body, with only his head sticking out.

[17:13] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> So Mr. Kakaku, I have been... greatly honored, in helping calibrate the dosages an anesthetic programming of the surgical robot.

[17:19] * Nurse , holding the remote, can now be seen in front of you again. She is wearing a surgical mask, but her eyes light up pleasantly, suggesting she is smiling. She takes the goggles and ear clips off.

[17:21] * Nurses hold out what seems to be a cross between an orthopedic collar and a neck brace, which has a big rubber seal around it, and fasten it around D.Kakaku's neck. It's padded, but still forces the wearer to look straight ahead.
[17:21] *** You are forced to look at the bright surgical light, but it doesnt' hurt at all, and actually seems far dimmer than it should.
[17:22] <D. Kakaku> hmhmm
[17:22] <Nurses> Okay Mr. Kakaku, here we go!
[17:22] <D. Kakaku> ok
[17:22] *** There is a looooud, loooong, electrical beeping signal, and a bunch of noises that sound like 10 printers working at the same time.
[17:23] *** There are no footsteps, but the noises from behind you get louder and louder and louder. You see the nurses backing away, out of your peripheral vision since you cannot turn your head.
[17:25] <D. Kakaku> hmm?
[17:25] *** The noises fade for a moment, and then resume, getting louder and louder, and then, eventually, you see a toweringly tall contraption made of black and clear plastic appear in your field of vision that comes closer and closer.

[17:26] <D. Kakaku> ok
[17:27] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> The machine doesn't look humanoid at all at this stage, but it does have a monitor on it that moves into your light of sight, and Dr. Sakamoto's visage, covered in surgical accoutrements, is on it. You cannot see her face, but her eyes look gentle.

[17:28] *** A cavity in the robot opens up as it advances on D.Kakaku, and it slowly engulfs D.Kakaku's immobile head.

[17:28] *** Your vision gets darker and darker, as the receptacle your head has gone into closes, and seals around the gasket built into the collar bracing your neck.
[17:29] * A monitor flickers to life inside of the induction chamber, where you can clearly see it. Dr. Sakamoto is there, and she bows in acknowlegement.

[17:29] *** Hissing can be heard as air is pumped in.
[17:30] <A monitor> Don't worry, Mr. Kakaku, you are perfectly safe.
[17:30] <A monitor> I just thought you'd want to understand what's about to happen?

[17:30] <A monitor> Of course. :)
[17:31] <A monitor> This machine will place you under general anesthetic, according the precise parameters we programmed into it last time. Your body is perfectly still, and it knows your dimensions, so it cannot miss due to your motion. It will use that data to put you under, and we will test the intubation function.

[17:32] <D. Kakaku> aleight.
[17:32] <A monitor> You will be under longer than you were last time, so there's one factor you should know about, though you shouldn't concern yourself at all. This medicine CAN interfere with memory formation in the long term for some people, so we'll have an exit interview and make sure you are okay, and we'll transport you back to your home.

[17:33] <A monitor> It's just that, because of that memory loss, if you don't remember certain things happening before your trip back, that's normal. We'll videotape the whole thing so you can see what happened, and send it to you along with your payment. In other words, if you "wake up" on the way home, that's a subjective experience we have dealt with before.

[17:41] *** There is a rush of motion, and you suddenly feel something tighten against your mouth and nose. There is a soft hiss.

[17:42] * Monitor comes back on, showing the four members of the operating room staff in the shot. The light from the monitor illuminate the hoses going to your mouth and nose.

[17:54] *** The monitor goes off, as something brushes against your ear, and you sort of see things moving in the darkness lit by the recording light. You stop being able to feel your body. There's nothing but the hissing and the smell and the warmth.

[17:55] * It suddenly feels like a trap door opens underneath you and you are falling down, and you land in the seat of the vehicle you got here in.

[20:19] *** The battle rages for a full minute, with las-fire criss-crossing, several Guardsmen getting gunned down, and then things REALLY get intense when MP-40 starts sprinting forward through the barrage of fire, clutching a BUNCH of tied-together "potato-masher" grenades in each hand!

[20:22] *** The explosion has taken out the defenders, as well as wrecked the cell doors and torn open part of the floor!

[20:29] * Z-23 drops down into a wrecked passage. There's a lot of debris piled everywhere, as well as lots of bodies. Looking around she finds...a SHOVEL.

[20:31] *** That's not just ANY shovel though. It's an Imperial 9-70 Entrenchment Tool! Proven by the Death Korps of Krieg to be one of the deadliest and most versatile close-combat weapons in the galaxy!

[19:12] * Z-23 runs through the nearest doorway into the corridor beyond. On her left is a double-thick floor-to-ceiling chainlink fence.
[19:13] * Z-23 can see beyond the fence is a doorway leading into another detention block. In the distance there are still alarms going off and lots and lots of shouting.

[19:16] * Z-23 turns and runs away from the fencing and into a different section of the ship.

[20:19] *** The elevator continues to slowly rise, and the fighting sounds like it gets nasty, with Helianthus crying out several times. Then it gets very quiet.

[20:37] * Commander Helianthus and Z-23 begin huge running gun-battle with the horde of enemies, ducking back and forth behind cover as they retreat backwards, giving ground in order to avoid being outflanked.
[20:38] * Z-23 catches sight of sneaky Tiny Kits dropping out of overhead air vents and catches them in midair, grabbing them...then THROWING them at the faces of the approaching T-Dolls!

[20:57] *** They open an airlock into a large hangar bay. As they rush inside, a Thunderhawk gunship is touching down, firing its weapons and sweeping the areas with heavy bolters.
[20:58] *** The forward loading ramp drops, and out rush Javelin, Ayanami, and Laffey. All three of them start laying down HEAVY covering fire as Helianthus and Z-23 sprint towards them.
[21:02] *** Yes, the accompanying soundtrack is an awesome fusion of "Imperium Disco" and HARDBASS.
[21:03] * Z-23 fires off the last rounds in her last magazine, then skids to a halt as she reaches the edge of the boarding ramp.

[21:04] * Commander Helianthus is already halfway up the ramp. Meanwhile, Javelin is blasting away with a belt-fed shotgun (and loving EVERY minute of it), Ayanami is slashing away at anything getting close, and Laffey...
